Hunter's Checklist
Things you need to know:
- Upon arrival you will need your hunting license.
- We will have a short orientation on hunting rules and regulations, during which you will be required to sign a waiver.
- You will need your Hunter Education Card if born on/or after January 1st, 1986.
- Shot and injured deer are considered killed deer. We will help you look for your buck during the rest of your hunt.
- You can not get down from or walk around the location that you are placed. You will be asked to leave if we find you walking around.
- Gun hunters must wear a SOLID ORANGE vest.
- Everything you take on the property you must take off of the property (e.g., scent bombs and wafers)
- $500 penalty for bucks killed less than 125 inches
Please make sure you have the following supplies:
- Non-Resident Deer Hunting License and Hunter Education Card (if born on/after January 1, 1986)
- Safety harness, belt, and/or safety vest, to be worn at all times while hunting
- Bow and/or gun case
- Cell phone
- Pull rope and bow or gun holder
- Rubber Boots and/or scent free scent-lock boots
- Scent-lock suit (not required, but highly recommended - the more you control your scent the better your chances at harvesting a great buck)
- Rain gear
- Flashlight or head lamp
- Scent-free soap and detergent.
- Binoculars and range finder
- Personal supplies (e.g., tooth paste, scent free deodorant, first aid supplies, and band aids)
- Gloves, decoys, calls, rattling horns, scents, face net, bug spray, alarm
- Tip for guides
If you think you might need it bring it. If you take something in the woods bring it out.
